I bought a Kensington Ci60 optical wireless mouse. I followed the directions to install it, but it doesn’t work. When I go to the setup, it says it’s working properly, but it’s not! The batteries are fine. What am I doing wrong? Can anyone help me?

I just bought a mini wireless optical mouse for my laptop. This is my mouse:

I plugged in the flash drive, and my laptop said it installed it. the mouse won’t work. I tried pushing any buttons i saw. I think it may need batteries, but i cant find any place to insert them. Any help? i just bought this and i am looking forward to using it!

thanks
i tried all those things, but i couldnt get any part open without almost braking it..and nothing else has worked :/

Yesterday i plugged my mouse receiver into the USB drive on my laptop and a bubble popped up on the bottom right of the screen saying that there has been a power surge. Or something like that anyway. Since then the mouse has not worked, it has not even been recognised when i plug it into ANY of the USB drives. The batteries are fine. The signal was fine.

Usually a small light in the receiver comes on when it is plugged in, since yesterday this hasn’t happened.

Any help much appreciated

cheers

I lost my manual, and I can’t find a way to turn of my mouse. The only way to turn it off is to take out the batteries. Is there a way to turn it off without having to deal with the hassle of removing the batteries? Just so we’re clear, the mouse looks like this:

I have a Micro Innovations wireless optical mouse. Model # PD950P. I am running Windows Vista.
The problem I am having is that everytime I turn my computer on the mouse won’t work.. :( I have to restart my computer in order to get it to work.?? Any ideas? I have replaced the batteries and tried the reset button.. Thanks :)

I am using a Logitech wireless optical mouse with my laptop which runs Vista. About three days ago, the mouse randomly shut off and continues to do so. After hitting connect, it will turn back on for a time ranging between 1 to 30 seconds before it shuts off again and I again have to use the connect fuction on the mouse.

According to Logitech there are no drivers for this mouse, I have tried all four USB ports, and I have changed the batteries to no avail. Furthermore, I switched to a spare Microsoft wireless optical mouse which experiences the same problem, although the reconnect function does not work with it. This leads me to believe it is an issue with Vista and not the USB ports or mice.

I am tired of using the touchpad, so please help me out! Thank you in advance.

PS. I do not have an issue with the mice and sleep mode specifically, but could it be a similar/related issue?
To clarify: the batteries are NOT dead on either mouse!
